Cornish Rebels RLFC were delighted to attend the Cornwall School Games Finals day at Penryn College and run the Primary year 5&6 touch rugby league competition.

Five Islands (Isles of Scilly), Trewirgie, Burraton, Newquay Juniors, King Charles, Summercourt and Connor Downs all took part and the final was a hot contest between 2017 champions Trewirgie and Burraton school. Trewirgie retained their title but all schools showed on the day the same spirit and determination that they had done through the competition stages all summer.

Cornwall Sports Partnership’s Tim Marrion said it was “A great opportunity” for pupils to be able to play Rugby League as part of the School Games network.
